3D Action November 20th, 1997 (US) |
Coming this November is an action-packed
real-time 3D game, ONE, from ASC Games. The player
controls John Cain, a poor fellow who wakes up with amnesia one day in a strange place and
his left arm replaced with a metallic device of some sort. And just like if that's not bad
enough, he gets attacked by dozens of laser blasts as he goes out of the room. It's up to
you to find out what has happened to John and his left arm and ultimately save his life. Instead of a traditional power-up system that requires the player to locate health icons or medical kits, ONE features a system that is based upon the character's state of rage. Cain's momentum controls his state of rage, which is defined by how much, how fast and how skillfully, the player defeats enemies, destroys objects and progresses through the environments. There are 5 stages in all in ONE. They are filled with countless mechanized beasts of war whose only goal is to eliminate you. Expect plenty of high tensed action scenes. As the character's state of rage increases and decreases, so does the power of his physical attacks and weapons, as well as his general health, speed, jumping ability, and marksmanship. John is capable to perform an arsenal of physical attacks, evasive rolls and acrobatic flips, as well as hanging, climbing and sliding moves. A cooperative 2-player mode is also availble. ASC Games/Visual Concepts |
